| Oceans Of The World |
Approximately 70 per cent of the Earth's surface is covered by oceans and seas. Owing to the action of tides, wind, and currents (flows of water that way travel thousands of kilometres) , the world's oceans are constantly moving. Oceans support a huge diversity of life, with most species found in water 0-200 m (0-655 fit) deep (the sunlit zone).
