UNGULATE

Ungulate is a general term applied to the orders o hoofed mammals: Perissodactyls have one three functional toes, and include horses, rhinoceroses, and tapirs. Artiodactyls have two or four functional does, and include cattle, sheep, camels, giraffes, pigs, and hippopotamuses. In many two-toed ungulates the narrow gap between the toes form a cloven hoof.
